Okay I want to cut my hair short for spring semester (just above my shoulders) Unfortunately, by fall semester i'm going to have to be able to pull my hair into a bun.

Does anyone have any advice on subtle accessories or something I could do so that my short hair can be held in a bun??

now that I'm here I thought I'd ask for some hair up-do tips. Should buns be done upside down but not pony tails? For shoulder length hair any tips putting it up, wear it high right? Help how to do it looser and how much hair to pull out afterwards, or go for the messy look on purpose? Just looking for some tips & help, thanks!

Anyhow..for the problems:

1)
*I've been at the same hairstylist, an old guy, since I was a little kid.
Result: A really bad hair.

2)
*My parents buy my clothes.
Result: Bad clothes.

Is there any other worldknown websites for these specific problems, this forum seems to be for people that are well known of, and fallowing, the fashion...
